Vector Open Beta (v0.2.0) is a private, decentralized end-to-end encrypted messenger launching on November 5, 2025, featuring private group chats and anonymous one-click login via a decentralized relay network (Nostr). It is free, open-source, collects no user metadata, and enforces a no-ad policy. Built on Nostr, Marmot, and MLS protocols, Vector aims to combine robust privacy with an intuitive user experience, unlike many privacy-focused apps that prioritize encryption over usability. During the Open Beta, Vector will collaborate with niche communities to refine user experience through feedback and bug reports, leveraging a talented team of developers and UX/UI designers.
