SUMMARY
Research the Gap is a free tool for identifying gaps in medical research by entering a topic and selecting two of six dimensions: Population, Methodology, Independent Variable, Outcome, Setting, and Study Location. It generates a heatmap showing the number of papers addressing each pair of values within the chosen dimensions, allowing researchers to explore existing studies and plan new research. For instance, a "Population - Outcome" grid for "Ozempic" may show many studies on "Pregnant Women - Side Effects" but few on "Children/Adolescents - Mortality." This tool provides a comprehensive view of scientific research, highlighting areas with little literature.
